Local Cook Finally Finds the Recipe

It was, reportedly, beneath an autobiography, two advertisements and a video that had begun playing on its own.

What RecipeJam does about it

RecipeJam’s reader shows a recipe the way you need it while cooking: ingredients, method, timings and nothing else. Amounts are linked into the steps, so “add the butter” tells you how much butter without scrolling back up.

RecipeJam, in use

A recording of this, in the real application

Importing a recipe from a cluttered page, then opening it in the reader.

Filmed in RecipeJam itself, not an animation. Coming shortly.

One page per part of the job

Ingredients, equipment, preparation and method each get their own page, colour-coded, so a glance at a propped-up phone tells you where you are before you have read a word.

Amounts where you need them

A phrase in the method is only linked to an ingredient when exactly one ingredient could mean it. A confidently wrong amount is worse than none, so ambiguous ones are left alone.

Import from anywhere, read it here

Paste the address of a recipe and RecipeJam keeps the ingredients, method and photograph, and credits the source. What it drops is everything else.
