Special report

We Put RecipeJam Through Its Paces

Rather than describe the software, we have left an account unlocked. Everything in it is real: real recipes, real photographs, a real compiled cookbook.

This is the actual application, signed in as a household that has been using it for a while — not a tour, not a video, and not a stripped-down sandbox. You can open recipes, read them the way you would while cooking, search by ingredient, browse the collections and download the finished ebook.

No sign-up, no email address.

What you will find in it

A household’s recipes

Written the way people actually write them, with the amounts and wording left as typed. Several carry notes about where they came from.

The reader

Open any recipe and read it as you would while cooking: ingredients, preparation and method on their own pages, with amounts linked into the steps.

Collections, including a Christmas one

Recipes grouped for a purpose, with a combined shopping list that adds up the same ingredient asked for by three different recipes.

A published collection

One collection is public, with its own link and QR code — exactly what a café or a farm shop would put on a counter.

A finished cookbook

A collection bound into an ebook with a generated cover, compiled and downloadable. It is an ordinary EPUB file and opens on any ereader.

Ingredient-aware search

Search for aubergine and find the recipe that says eggplant. Ask for two ingredients and get only the recipes using both.

Or start your own collection

The photographs in the demo are properly licensed, and the people are invented. Credits and licences.
